A phase II study of imatinib in 33 progressive, unresectable desmoid tumors [53] assessed the correlation between CTNNB1 (β-catenin) mutation status and “progression arrest rate” - the proportion of patients showing complete or partial response, or stable disease by Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) version 1.0 - 6 months after initiation of imatinib treatment. This evidence concerns the gene CTNNB1 and desmoid tumor.
