Using ELISA with synthetic human KIR4.1 peptide (residue 83–120), Nerrant et al. found KIR4.1 autoantibodies in serum from only 7.5% of MS patients (total 268), 4.3% of patients with other neurological diseases (total 46) and 4.4% of healthy controls (total 45; Nerrant et al., 2014). The gene discussed is KCNJ10; the disease is nervous system disorder.
