Interestingly, elevated UBE2T expression in nasopharyngeal carcinomas activates the AKT/GSK3β/β-catenin pathway, and inhibition of the pathway with the AKT inhibitor MK-2206 2HCL blocks the pro-metastatic effect of UBE2T in nasopharyngeal cancers cells [134].
