Studying a subsample of adolescent depression (n = 155) sufferers who participated in the Treatment of SSRI-Resistant Depression in Adolescents (TORDIA) trial, Brent et al. (15) found that two polymorphisms in FKBP5 (rs1360780TT and rs3800373GG) were linked to suicide events (n = 18), even when they controlled for related covariates and treatment effects. This evidence concerns the gene FKBP5 and depressive symptom measurement.
