Last, although Beaulieu et al. [8] have previously shown that GILZ overexpression significantly inhibits the production of key pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6 and IL-8, in rheumatoid arthritis synovial fibroblasts, it has no effect on a panel of additional pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-12p70, which are produced by the same cells.
