For glycometabolism, in the vitamin D deficiency group, betatrophin was positively correlated with HbA1c and 2 h-BG levels, and negatively correlated with DIO levels, whereas in subjects with higher levels of vitamin D, betatrophin levels were negatively associated with insulin and HOMA-IR levels, and positively correlated with ISIM levels. This evidence concerns the gene INS and vitamin D deficiency.
