MTOR and cancer: IPA analysis suggests five Top Networks (Supporting Information, Table S3), the first one related to “Cell Death and Survival, Cancer” comprises 70 focus molecules and evidences as the majority of identified protein are directly and not mainly involved in three signalling pathways that play a crucial role in cancerogenesis: (i) the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signaling pathway, (ii) the Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-ĸB) pathway and (iii) phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase-B/mammalian target of rapamycin (PI3K/AKT/mTOR) signalling cascade (Figure 3).
