A large amount of studies have demonstrated that UCA1 expression was up-regulated in many cancers, such as hepatocellular cancer, colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and lung cancer, and that high UCA1 expression was strongly correlated with clinicopathologic characteristics, including lymph node metastasis and overall survival [5–10]. This evidence concerns the gene UCA1 and colorectal cancer.
