Although prior studies have explored possible correlations of PCSK9 [17], apoC3 [15], and sdLDL-C [18] with lipid profile, including TG, LDL-C, and HDL-C, and their role in atherogenisis, few of them assessed the role of these parameters in determining current dyslipidemias and compared the discordance. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK9 and metabolic syndrome.
