RALB and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Notably, other members of this gene family are not significantly mutated in cancer and only in some cases, overexpression of RAS-related genes has been associated to certain types of tumors, i.e. RALA and RALB are overexpressed in melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), with RALA having a predominant role in tumor growth and RALB in its metastatic potential [9, 10].
