To this end, as shown in Fig 1, plasma MCP-1 levels were found to be significantly higher in T2D patients with asthma (Group I: 337.95 ± 46.40 pg/mL) as compared with other groups, such as T2D patients without asthma (Group II: 216.69 ± 17.30 pg/mL; P = 0.03), non-diabetic individuals with asthma (Group III: 251.76 ± 19.80 pg/mL; P = 0.05), and non-diabetic non-asthmatic controls (Group IV: 223.52 ± 13.36 pg/mL; P = 0.003). Here, CCL2 is linked to asthma.
