KIAA0101, also known as p15PAF (PCNA-associate factor), contains a conserved PCNA-binding motif, and elevated KIAA0101 has been recently identified as an oncogene, and a potential biomarker for recurrence and poor prognosis in patients with lung cancer [18], esophageal cancer [19], and gastric cancer [20], respectively. The gene discussed is PCLAF; the disease is lung cancer.
