Chromatin immunoprecipitation assay (ChIP) of the selective binding of a particular protein to the promoter region by PCR amplification analysis using a specific pair of primers after precipitating the complex with a specific antibody revealed the specific binding of MBD4 to the promoter regions of PNMA5, RBP4, and SLIT1. To determine whether MBD4 plays a critical role in controlling the expression of association‐area‐selective genes, we used a human neuroblastoma cell line (SH‐SY5Y). The gene discussed is MBD4; the disease is neuroblastoma.
