ALK and adenocarcinoma: In addition to clarifying testing for EGFR mutations and ALK translocations to guide targeted therapy with EGFR or ALK inhibitors, respectively, in all patients with advanced-stage adenocarcinoma, they also offer recommendations and/or expert consensus opinions to address questions such as “how EGFR and ALK testing should be performed” and “how the molecular testing should be implemented and operationalized.” Soon upon availability, this guideline was endorsed by ASCO [27].
