After adjusting for all other significant outcome predictors (age, sex, systolic blood pressure, NIHSS score, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, diabetes mellitus, smoking, alcohol abuse, lithic acid, Vit D, HbA1c, IgA, glucose, Hs-CRP), IL-33 was still an independent predictor for outcome with an adjusted OR of 0.932 (95% CI, 0.882-0.986).
