It is reported that circulating CD34+VEGFR-3+ lymphatic/vascular endothelial progenitor cells correlate with lymph node metastasis in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer [25], and further study revealed that CD34+/VEGFR-3+ EPCs in human cord blood could differentiate into lymphatic endothelial cells [10]. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
