In our existing data, we found that the main biological processes that were enriched for the dysregulated lncRNAs were “innate immune response,” “inflammatory response,” “apoptotic process,” and “positive regulation of I-kappa B kinase/NF-kappa B cascade.” These findings are in agreement with one current concept that immune-mediated inflammation may serve as a pathogenic mechanism of type-1 diabetes. This evidence concerns the gene CHUK and type 1 diabetes mellitus.
