Considering that the combination of high H3F3A and GPR87 expression is closely associated with lung cancer prognosis and that H3F3A epigenetically regulates GPR87 transcription, combining LPA antagonists with epigenetic targeting of GPR87 transcription through H3.3 could be an effective strategy for cancer treatment, including post-operative therapy for lung cancer patients to decrease lung cancer-related deaths. The gene discussed is LPA; the disease is lung cancer.
