These findings suggest that SNHG12 lncRNA promotes cell proliferation and migration by upregulating AMOT gene expression in osteosarcoma cells in vivo and in vitro and are consistent with the findings of previous studies involving human gastric cancer patients, which showed that upregulation of SNHG15 lncRNA expression promotes cell proliferation and invasion by regulating MMP-2/MMP-9 expression.103 Mammalian genomes encode numerous natural antisense transcripts that are at least partially complementary to their sense transcripts.
