Methylation of XRCC3 and RAD51B exhibited statistically significant (all Bonferroni corrected p-values <0.001, with the exception of CD276, VTCN1 and ICOSLG-RAD51B interaction), strong positive correlations with expression of inflammation associated genes in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and also showed similar patterns in lung and cervical carcinoma (Figure 6a, 6b, 6c). This evidence concerns the gene VTCN1 and cervical carcinoma.
