Malaria parasite prevalence was highest in children with CD4 T cell count <200 cells/μl (28.6 %, n = 8) and lowest in those with CD4 T cell count ≥ 500 cells/μL (25.0 %, n = 36), but there was no statistically significant difference (χ2 = 0.208, P = 0.90) as indicated in Table 1.
