Previously we found that oral administration of Vam3 at about 50 mg/kg inhibited inflammatory cell recruitment, cytokine production and NF-κB activation in ovalbumin (OVA)-induced asthma murine model (unpublished data), and showed anti-oxidative effect on cigarette smoke-induced damage (Shi et al., 2012). The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is asthma.
