Worms abrogated for the F32G8.3, F45E4.5, hrg-3, ttr-21, F17E9.3, F59A7.2, nlp-27, ssp-37, F26F12.5, F33D11.8, nlp-31, and Y43C5A.3 genes were hypersensitive to infection relative to the vector control (p < 0.0001; Figures 1A–C; Supplementary Table 2), suggesting that these 12 genes may be involved in the worm antimicrobial response. This evidence concerns the gene NRG3 and infection.
