In parallel we observed by CCK-8 assay that cell growth was reduced from 60 to 90% in WERI Rb1 (Supplementary Figure S5C) and from 75 to 95% in Y79 (Supplementary Figure S5D), upon suppression of PI3KC2β, as compared to scrambled shRNA, implying that PI3KC2β might play an important role in regulating retinoblastoma growth and survival. The gene discussed is RB1; the disease is retinoblastoma.
