Given the inverse correlation between c-Cbl and nuclear β-catenin in human tumors and the evidence that nuclear β-catenin regulates the growth of CRC [2–4], we examined the role of c-Cbl in CRC tumor growth in an in vivo xenograft model using c-Cbl silenced (c-Cbl-sil) HT-29 cells (Figure 2A). The gene discussed is CBL; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
