Our observations further supported that cancer cell death occurred due to decreased expression in anti-apoptotic molecules (BCL-xL, BCL2, Survivin, XIAP2, cIAP2, MCL1) and increased expression in pro-apoptotic molecules (caspase 3, caspase 6, caspase 7, caspase 9, BAX, BAK, BAD, NOXA, BID, cytochrome-C, PUMA, APAF1, AIF, and PARP1) in HSP70-2 depleted MDA-MB-231 cells. This evidence concerns the gene PARP1 and cancer.
