RENBP and punctate palmoplantar keratoderma type III: Additionally, we clearly demonstrated that chlorogenic acid can significantly inhibit the formation of AGEs and the AGE/RAGE interaction in an in vitro assay, and 3,5-di-O-caffeoylquinic acid inhibited the formation of AGEs with approximately 20-fold greater efficacy than chlorogenic acid, which suggests that the anti-apoptotic activities of AKE may be ascribed to the synergistic effects of these two active components.
