Genes that were significantly increased in MM patient samples and cell lines versus normal CD138+ cells were found across all subgroups: ubiquitination enzymes (n=6), deubiquitination enzymes (n=2), proteasomal subunits (n=2), heat shock proteins (n=4) and immune response-related genes (n=2). The gene discussed is SDC1; the disease is Miyoshi myopathy.
