miR-145 has been found to be associated with tumorigenesis via suppressing the expression of several genes such as Insulin-like growth factor 1 in colorectal cancer [20], c-Myc and Cyclin-dependent kinase 6 (Cdk6) in oral squamous cell cancer [21], ER-α in breast cancer, SOX2 in larynx and prostate cancer, and several other genes in distinct cancer types [22]. Here, CDK6 is linked to prostate cancer.
