A Russian study analyzed only lung adenocarcinomas, which were assessed by PCR in a Cycler iQ Real Time Detection System (Bio Rad Laboratories, GmBH, Munich, Germany); the results revealed a prevalence of EGFR mutations that was higher compared with that in other European countries (19.8 %) [27], but was still lower than that in Asian populations, in which the prevalence is above 40 %. Here, EGFR is linked to lung adenocarcinoma.
