Overexpression of FGFR4 was observed in several cancers and has been reported to be associated with aggressive tumors and poor prognosis in breast cancer [25], squamous cell carcinoma [26], ovarian cancer [11], non-small cell lung cancer [27], gastric cancer [28], as well as colorectal cancer [13, 22]. Here, FGFR4 is linked to squamous cell carcinoma.
