Using unconditional regression analysis, we observed that the AC and CC genotypes of IL-6 -592A>C were associated with the increased risk of developing coronary artery disease when compared with the AA genotype, and the adjusted ORs (95%CI) were 1.63(1.12-2.38) and 2.70(1.57-4.67), respectively. The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is coronary artery disorder.
