Children with allergies had a lower number of PPG-stimulated CD4+CD25+FOXP3+T cells (P = 0.01), reduced FOXP3 expression in response to PPG and LPA (P = 0.02 and P = 0.01, respectively), and lower IL-10 production (P = 0.016), compared to the children without allergies. Here, FOXP3 is linked to allergic disease.
