In data generated by the TCGA Research Network: http://cancergenome.nih.gov/ and analyzed with cBioPortal [15–17], mutations in Runx1 and Runx2 occur in 6.1% and 2.8%, respectively, of invasive breast carcinoma and, while these mutation rates are near 0% for prostate adenocarcinoma, the mRNA levels of Runx1 and Runx2 increase 4.8% and 3.6%, respectively, in men with PCa. Here, RUNX1 is linked to prostate adenocarcinoma.
