RHO and autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa: In transgenic rat model of autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa caused by misfolding of mutant (P23H) rhodopsin, constitutive expression of the mutant protein initially led to higher transcriptome level of BiP, coding for the Hsp70-class ER chaperone, indicating stronger induction of UPR in case of the misfolded protein.
