As shown in Fig 6 and S5 Table, 26 of the 384 cancer driver genes were identified in gene-trap studies with lytic viruses (such as CTCF, RHOA, CDKN1B, and CUX1), while 66 of the 384 genes were previously identified in RNAi screens (such as PIK3CA, HRAS, EGFR, AKT1, and IDH1). This evidence concerns the gene CUX1 and cancer.
