TM6SF2 and Insulin resistance: By multiple logistic regression analysis adjusted for age, gender, BMI, homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), recruitment centre, alcohol consumption, viral load, PNPLA3 rs738409, TM6SF2 rs58542926 and IFNL rs12979860 genotype, rs641738 CT/TT was independently associated with higher necroinflammatory activity (odds ratio (OR): 1.44; 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.14–1.72; P=0.001; Supplementary Table 5).
