Our results indicated that BG-4 was able to affect the expression of these proteins important in the survival and proliferation of colon cancer cells further explaining the cytotoxic effect of BG-4 in colon cancer cells in vitro by increasing the expression of the antitumor p21 in HT-29 colon cancer cells leading to reduction of CDK2 expression. This evidence concerns the gene CDK2 and colonic neoplasm.
