Examples of FGFR fusion driven cancers include: 8p11 myeloproliferative syndrome, a rare stem cell disorder, which contains a number of FGFR1 fusions including FGFR1OP-FGFR1 [16], and glioblastoma multiforme with FGFR3-TACC3 fusions which are found in 3–7% of all GBM [26].
