To examine if the inhibitory effect of NLGN4Y on ERK is mediated through membrane NRXN receptors in prostate cancer cells, we treated PC-3 cells with soluble NRXN1β/Fc (R&D Systems) which served as a decoy receptor to inhibit NLGN4Y binding to membrane NRXNs [44]. This evidence concerns the gene NLGN4Y and prostate carcinoma.
