Three of these studies (c, j, n) in which Tregs were defined by “CD25 and FOXP3 double positive” were selected to perform the meta-analysis, revealing that there was a significant reduction in the proportion of Tregs in PB of active RA patients compared to remission RA patients (REM -0.92, [-1.79 to -0.05]) (Fig 5A).
