Maraviroc and lovastatin, inhibitors of CCR5 and HMGCR respectively, have already been shown to inhibit dengue viral replication in in vitro studies [70, 71].These drugs could be tested for their anti-dengue viral effect and it is possible that some of these drugs, either singly or in synergistic combinations may prove to be effective antiviral agents.
