TYMS and mucositis: 5-Methyltetrahydrofolate-homocysteine methyltransferase reductase (MTRR), involved in conversion of homocysteine to methionine was found to be associated with oral mucositis, increased platelet recovery [208] and increased thymidylate synthase (TYMS) catalytic activity [207] but not with decreased intelligence quotient (IQ) [185] in pediatric ALL patients.
