We performed quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) to detect miR-22 expression in peripheral blood (PB) mononuclear cells (MNCs) derived from 79 primarily diagnosed AML patients (S1 Table) and 114 healthy donors, as well as in bone marrow (BM) MNCs and in BM CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells and progenitors (HSPCs) derived from limitary healthy donors and AML patients. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and acute myeloid leukemia.
