The third over-expressed segment was on chromosome 3 [coordinates 114,250,001–114,750,000], with the known gene TIGIT, encoding for a member of the PVR (poliovirus receptor) family of immunoglobin proteins, and the three EST cluster (Hs.592414, Hs.744879 and Hs.202577) which show an increase of expression in PD patients compared to controls. This evidence concerns the gene PVR and Parkinson disease.
