In HCC, the expression of Ikaros decrease was relative to poor survival and the study by Zhang et al. [21] showed that Ikaros exerted an antitumor effect through interacting with CtBP as a transcriptional repressor complex that directly binded to the CD133 P1 promoter so that the CSCs properties of HCC cells were inhibited. This evidence concerns the gene CTBP1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
