SULT2A1 and polycystic ovary syndrome: Patients with PCOS had significantly higher total testosterone, androstenedione, and DHEA (p = 0.002, <0.001, and 0.015, respectively) and lower E2 (p < 0.001) levels than healthy controls, while no difference was found for DHEAS, DHT, and E1 (p = 0.073, 0.096, and 0.138, respectively).
