Compared to the patients with an ABI ≥ 0.95 and AoAC score ≤ 4, those with an ABI < 0.95 and AoAC score > 4 were older, had higher prevalence of diabetes, coronary artery disease and cerebrovascular disease, high prevalence of CTR > 50%, lower levels of albumin and creatinine and higher levels of total calcium. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and diabetes mellitus.
