In contrast, suicidal behavior in MDD is associated with a more pronounced inflammatory phenotype, as evidenced by significantly higher CRP and SAA1 levels (Fig. 2) and a more pronounced prothrombotic phenotype as evidenced by higher relative prothrombinase activity (Fig. 6) and significantly increased levels of soluble TF, FVII (~1% of FVII circulates as FVIIa), FX, FV, and F1 + 2 (Fig. 3)41.
