HDGFL2 and malaria: A persistent parasite antigenaemia of HRP-2 has been demonstrated; a study on 240 patients with P. falciparum mono-infection was done after anti-malarial treatments using ICT malaria and optimal-IT assays; 82.1 % of the patients demonstrated persistent antigenaemia for the HRP2 antigen up to 14 days of follow-up [25].
